Underground Macbeth @ Kents Cavern will push us to raise these truthful performances to the optics and audio of a completely different living performance space. Our professional aims: • Having staged 4 evening productions (min 3 week runs), 3 lunchtime productions (min 2 week runs) and 8 Sunday shows in the past 15 months, we are keen to learn how to stage a production outside of London. • To meet the challenges of site specific work and move away from traditional theatre spaces (and all their inherent costs), which will encourage us to pursue site specific work in London. • To increase size and scale of performances, particularly vocal performances (Lyn Darnley from the RSC is setting up a voice workshop for C Company with one of her team to help with our vocal issues). • Bring Shakespeare to non-Shakespeare audiences using truthful acting, abridged scripts, non- traditional spaces, such as the caves, Cox’s Yard in Stratford upon Avon and underground spaces, such as car parks in London at off peak times (lunchtime and late night). • Develop contacts in the world of geo-parks, www.europeangeoparks.org, with a view to taking productions to other countries.
